Team Penning

Frank decided he needed to "upgrade" his penning horse, and came across Wranglers For Xmas (aka "Doc")--an Oklahoma cutting-trained, triple bred Doc Bar with Peppy San and Freckles Playboy gelding. Doc and Frank had to work together to become a team--and what a team they are, winning many WFQHA world championship titles in team penning and sorting, as well as local and MeQHA championships. Standing 14.3hh, Doc is referred to by our farrier as "the little horse with the big attitude!" He is quick, fast, and VERY cowy!--and totally devoted to his rider!

When Missy Q mysteriously went lame after the 2005 WFQHA World Show, Linda contacted her trainer and mentor, Robin Stang, for a new penning horse. Enter Rawhaida Pep, an own son of NCHA world cutting champion "Haidas Little Pep". Rawhaida has proven to be a real challenge for Linda, as he can (and has) literally move out from underneath her while working a cow! They are doing very well as a team, and have won world and reserve world championships in team penning and team sorting with the WFQHA, as well as many championships locally. Rawhaida and Linda, and Doc and Frank have left the local penning association, and are now competing with the United States Team Penning Association (USTPA), traveling mostly to New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Ohio. (P.S. Missy has come out of her lameness after a two-year rest!)
